How I started Lucid dreaming?
So, in my story, I first lucid dream when I was 13 years old. An X-men movie “X-Men origins” was released that time and I was all thinking and visualizing myself as wolverine. Well, that’s what kids do of course.
Like anyone with a pulse, I really wanted to try lucid dreaming for myself. I wanted to feel the freedom of doing absolutely anything inside my own private virtual world. So, over the following weeks I studied lucid dreaming and read up as much as I could. I kept a dream journal and practiced a bit of meditation every time I fell asleep.
Soon, I acquired the mindset of a conscious dreamer. Totally spontaneously, I had my first lucid dream.
Here’s what happened:
“I’m standing in a dark room. There was no detail of what it was actually like… What is this place?” Then the next thing I saw were my hands bloodied a pair of claws coming out of the knuckles and all of a sudden, I realize, THIS IS A DREAM!
The environment surges into focus. I was totally conscious of my body and my surroundings. So, I do my reality check and feel my fingers and claws push right through the palm of my hand.
“I am so excited now, I am the Wolverine”, I ran out of the door looking to tell someone that I am Wolverine. I find a woman who I don’t recognize and than I shouted on her face. “I’M THE WOLVERINE! I’M THE WOLVERINE!” And accidentally woke myself up.”
It was a breakthrough moment for me.
For the first time ever, I “woke up” inside of my dream. It was not at all vague. I was there, it was all real. But I just made a rookie mistake. I got all excited and ran outside to meet and tell a dream character that I was lucid. That’s when the adrenaline woke me up.
This was my first lucid dream and yeah, I was a noob that time and messed up everything. But yes, I’ve experienced it at an early age and many times after that. It’s difficult in the beginning but with regular practice you can achieve it.
